The Village Of Fox Run
Snow Removal Policy
-
Accumulations of 3” or more will initiate our snow removal contract. If snowfall is less than 6” but more than 3”, Snow Removal Service (SRS) should begin within two or three hours of the end of the snowfall.
-
If the snowfall is 6” or greater, the SRS service should begin once accumulation has reached 6”.
-
Removal will take place on all driveways and sidewalks. Access to the mailboxes will also be provided.
-
Service should be completed within a reasonable time period.
-
If necessary chemical (calcium ice melt) may be placed on the roadways. This decision will be based on each snowfall and predicted weather conditions for the following days.
-
If snowfall is light and more snow is predicted or if warm weather is expected to melt the accumulated snowfall, SRS may not be initiated
-
Unit Owner may place ice melt (not salt) on areas outside their Unit, at Unit Owner discretion.
-
Snow amounts will be judged based on the information communicated by local news forecast, WGAL TV.
-
The contractor will use a steel blade snow plow which may leave scrap marks on the surface of the driveway especially if sealant is used. Neither the Contractor nor the Association are liable for reasonable wear from the use of the snowplow.
-
Should snowfall occur in the evening or early morning hours, we ask that you turn your outside lights on for lighting. This will help the snow removal company in removing the snow at your Unit.
-
“Reasonable time period” depends on the quantity of snow, and the accessibility to the Neighborhood.
